Katlyn Smith

I'm a reporter for the Daily Herald, the third-largest newspaper in Illinois. A strong storyteller, I've written extensively about Chicago's collar counties.

 

Over five years at the newspaper, I've covered breaking news, real estate developments, education and cultural attractions. My favorite stories are about people who make their community a better place.

 

I graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in political science and a minor in journalism.
